The League of Women Voters of Albany County is a non-profit, non-partisan organization. Through generous contributions and membership, the League can continue to do the following:

• Conduct candidates forums for town, city, and county officials

• Registers voters

• Encourage fair campaign practices

• Study the financing of education in New York State

• Run the tenant election for the Albany Housing Authority

• Provide "Facts for Voters" to the community

• Provide information through our website

• Lobby our local and state representatives on pressing issues, such as implementation of the Help America Vote Act (HAVA), Legislative reform, public access TV in Albany, health care, education reform, court restructuring, and campaign finance reform
