LWVAC Observer Corps members volunteer to monitor local governments, school districts, or other governmental bodies in Albany County.* They attend meetings, note what happens, and report back to the League and the community. Observers’ reporting back so others know what is happening, supporting citizens’ right to know.
In addition, Observers keep elected and appointed officials on notice; they let them know that someone is watching what decisions are being made and how they are being made.
